I've started a new blog. That doesn't mean I'll be neglecting this one more than usual, as the new one is designed and written with a specific topic. Check it out...

Here is a picture of the grafitti that inspired my poem the other day. With it is what appears to be the same vandal several blocks later, who seems to have picked up a dictionary along the way. Sorry for the quality of the photos, but it was the lowest resolution setting on my camera phone. Hey, I did it for you so don't complain.

My work week is over, but I'm still sitting at work. Why? My computer is crashing way too often for my tastes lately. It may be overheating, and if that's the case I may just need a new fan for it. I hope so. I can't afford a new computer right now, what with being too spendy on other stuff.

I came upon grafitti yesterday. Misspelled, of course. It's not the same otherwise, is it? Atomobile. Automobile? Probably. It was completely random, written on top of a button for audible crosswalk signals. Atomobile. Automobile. Most likely. Is an atomobile a tiny little car to go to tiny little places? Or nuclear powered, not gas? Atomobile. Automobile. Not the same. Atomic vehicles flitting about on an atomic level for atomic people with atomic needs. Atomobile. Automobile. I like it. If you're going to ignore the laws and rules of society, why not the rules of language too? Atomobile. Automobile. Grafitti. Don't forget the law of gravity. I've seen grafitti that seems to flout that as well. Crazy places. Atomobile. Automobile. Atomobile.

Damn, this office is hot. They shut down the air conditioning on weekends, and being an office, of course we can't open the windows. I keep a small desk fan here, but it can do only so much, especially if it only has hot, stagnant air to throw around. If I ever start my own business, I'd like to think I'd be able to set up the offices in a building with windows that can open. But then, I'd also like to think I wouldn't have to work any weekends. That would depend entiredly on the type of business, because a lot of small business owners have to work long hours to make everything work and stay in business. I do have a couple of ideas in mind of what I'd like to do for my own business, but I'm not going to say it here. No, those goodies are going to stay in my overheated head. *** I love magpies. Sure, they don't make the most melodical sound in the world, but they are a very beautiful bird. The world needs scavengers to help keep it clean, and if the scavengers are beautiful, so much the better.
