I've been in my apartment since Thursday now and I still haven't slept in my bedroom. My solemn vow to you is that I will put my bed together soon. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but soon, and for the rest of my stay there.

The election in Canada is in full swing, and yes, I'd rather have a Liberal Party who breaks its promises in power than a Conservative Party who keeps its promises. It scares the hell out of me the path this country would take if the Conservatives get into power. Forget same-sex marriages, they will do everything in their power to make sure that never happens. Forget international law. We'll be America's bitch for the next illegal war because as we all know, good trade relations trump human lives any day. If we're lucky though, Bush Co. won't be around after January.
Then there are the tax cuts. Tax cuts sound great, don't they? Never mind that in order to pay for tax cuts, services need to be cut. Never mind that it's usually the rich that benefit the most from tax cuts, and it's usually the poor that suffer the most from services that are cut.
Sounds like rollicking good time to me.
