Today is a civic holiday and frankly it's a pain in the ass. A lot of places are closed or have holiday hours, but because it's a civic holiday and not a statuatory one, I get paid my normal rate. All the aggravation, none of the benefits. Joy to the friggin' world.
I'm tired today as well. I didn't get to bed when I wanted to last night, now I'm ready to sleep at my desk. That wouldn't go over too well.

The Edmonton Fringe Theatre Festival is coming up again soon, August 12 to 22 I believe. I'm volunteering again this year, but not so many days and mostly at the start of the festival so I have more flexibility for the rest of my vacation, you know, maybe go camping or something. Anyway, if you're in Edmonton you should come check it out. It's the second biggest Fringe Festival in the world, after Edinburgh, and there is so much theatre to enjoy in addition to the street performers, buskers, and assorted food and crafts. And should you find yourself there, say hi to the volunteers. You never know, you could be saying hello to me. I know, I know, there are thousands of volunteers. However, a little common sense and logic should help you narrow it down. (Heh, like anyone would go to that much trouble for little ol' anonymous and barely read me...)
